Looking for a walk with all the pretty flowers? This is the one for you.
Starting in Cefn Onn, you’ll take the bridle way out of the park and head up to join the Cambrian Way via Transh yr Hebog. Interestingly, you’ll pass some shafts which are air shafts for Caerphilly Tunnel that runs underneath your feet.
Caerphilly tunnel is 1 mile 173 yards long and at one point was the 7th longest tunnel on the GWR system. It’s still in use today.
You’ll follow the Cambrian Way for a short while before dropping down to Graig Llanishen and retracing your steps.
It’s such a beautiful walk and you’ll have some incredible views across Cardiff - as well as seeing a lot of beautiful flowers!
